Project Description
The project involves the construction of a 219 MW direct current solar PV project, with a contracted export capacity of 150 MW ac. Once operational, the facility is expected to generate about 478 GWh/y of clean electricity, which will be sold to clean electricity trader Etana Energy.
This will result in the avoidance of more 500 000 t/y of CO2-equivalent emissions and will provide enough energy to power an estimated 210 000 households.
The facility will connect to the Jersey distribution substation through a newly built 24 km overhead transmission line, ensuring seamless integration into the regional electricity network. It has also been designed to be battery energy storage system ready, allowing for the future integration of storage capacity to enhance grid flexibility and dispatchability.
